Hello I am Shamekia Outlaw, currently a junior at the illustrious Fayetteville State University. I am pursuing my degree in psychology with a minor in sociology. I also plan to further my education by obtaining a masters in social work. Since my freshman year I have had aspirations of joining an organization that have such substance. I wanted to go more in-depth with my involvement around campus and the community • Psychology ◦ Feeding the homeless at a local church down town Fayetteville ◦ Volunteering at the daycare on the campus of Fayetteville State University by tutoring the youth on their current lesson plans ◦ Organizing fundraisers to raise money for our club finances. • Autos Commuters Association ◦ I participated in feeding the homeless at the Salvation Army back in February. • 21st Century Gear Up ◦ Organizing a mentor program • Tides Grant Also, I have worked at Sams Club! Those are just a few listings and some background history about me. I am 21 years old with 8 nieces and nephews, I am sure I have plenty of experience with children. I recently found out I will soon be having my first child, so therefore being able to help with responsibilities and gaining more experience will defiantly help prepare me for my journey!
