Sitter in Groton, New York

Overview: I am an upcoming high school senior with about 4 years of experience babysitting children. I have experience with most ages, ranging from a few months to 12 years old. I also have experience with larger families with multiple children of different ages. On top of a formal part time employment, I hope to make some extra money this summer to save up for college, as I will be graduating in a year. While this may cause some time constraints, I am very organized and will make notice of my other work schedule ahead of time, along with any other availability conflicts. Skills/Services: Not only do I have reliable transportation to and from the home, but with my own vehicle I am willing to provide any necessary transportation as long as any required car seats are provided. I am also willing to run errands for the family if tasked to. I am comfortable with simple meal preparation, any extra cleaning, homework and academic help, (I also have 2 years of experience as a tutor), naptime and bedtime routines, including bath time if tasked. I enjoy bonding with children over a variety of things while supervising them. I enjoy music and art of all kinds, and can bring supplies to use if the parents/guardians allow me to and the child(ren) wish to partake. This involves sketch books, acrylic and/or water color paints and canvases, colouring books, and more. I love to encourage the use of their imagination with music, arts and crafts, and any make believe games they may wish to play. I prefer to have my bond and experience with each child I care for to be personalized and special for us both. I always aim for open communication with the parent(s)/guardian(s) to set boundaries of any and all kinds to ensure they feel safe and comfortable leaving their child(ren) with me.
