Hi, My name is Sherrie, I have 20 years experience caring for children as a Nanny. I live in Kitchener and i drive and have my own vehicle so i can watch your child in the comfort of your own home. I have had the pleasure of working with new born's, toddlers and school age children as well as before and after school care. I have found it very rewarding seeing the progress that children have made through out the time that they were in my care. I provide a environment with age appropriate activities, quiet time, daily reading, songs, rhymes, independent play time as well as playing with others. Going for walks and and playing outdoors in the fresh air surrounded by tress, hearing the birds and the wind are things that stimulates their sences. They can run, climb, and by doing these things they eat and sleep better. I am passionate about providing children with a safe, fun, nurturing loving environment. I have strong work ethics by being reliable and punctual. These are some of the following skills i have that goes with the job: * Prepare nutritious meals and snacks * Bath, dress, groom and change diapers * Teach children personal hygiene and toilet training * Transport children to and from school, outings, appointments * Over see children in baths and swimming * Motivate children to pick up toys and books after activities * Carry out light housekeeping, food prep and laundry if needed. * Communicate well with parents, and have the ability to maintain open, positive and friendly relationships. I also like to keep records of my daily observations and information regarding activities, meals served, medication administered if need be. I can most certainly provide you with references upon request. If needed i am willing obtain a police check and attend a first aid course.
