Hi. I am a creative, experienced nanny looking for temporary, short term, or one-off childcare work. I love caring for children and consider myself to be kind and considerate of their needs as well as their parent's. I believe it's important to be engaged and active with children, exploring nature, reading books, making crafts, playing games, ect. I prefer these activities to 'screen time'. In my free time I enjoy playing the fiddle and ukulele, crafting, hiking, and exploring. - Live in Nanny on Salt Spring Island for just under 2 years. Cared for three children who were 18 months, 5, and 7 when I arrived and are now 3, 7, and 9. - Childcare at Hayden Fitness in Vernon B. C, cared for up 8 children during a class - newborns, infants, toddlers, and occasionally young children. - Assistant teacher for Bricks4Kidz in Vernon, B. C, teaching children through LEGO building. - Volunteered at the Okanagan Science Center at summer camps, working with children from ages 6-12. - General babysitting since age 11 - Skilled cook (also very health conscious), and Foodsafe certified. - Children's First Aid & CPR and Occupational First Aid Level 1. - Excellent housekeeper, was employed by Neatfreak Cleaning Co. in Vernon, BC for over a year. I am currently enrolled with Childbirth International in their post-partum doula certification program.
