My name is Ashley Smith, I am 23 years old, I will be 24 in August and I am currently at Long Beach City College studying, Early Childhood Education. I previously attended UC Berkeley, on a full ride track and field scholarship for 2 and a half years where I studied Social Work. I then transfered to Academy of Art University in San Francisco, on a full ride scholarship studying, Communications for 2 years. I realized that my passion was children and teaching children so I came home last year for good and began studying at LBCC taking courses in Early Childhood Education, I have already completed one year and have taken 12 Units. During the duration of my time taking classes, I was working for a family Daycare as the lead teacher teaching 1-5 year olds. I worked at this position for 5 years teaching the children their ABC's, their numbers, how to spell their names, potty training, helping prepare their snack, tie their shoes and learn to play together, showing each other compassion and friendship. I love what I used to do, the children should be able to learn in a fun manor and in a way that makes them eager to learn. I have been babysitting children for over 10 years, I have more than enough experience and it is my passion. I am a Christian and I would love the opportunity to be in the care of your children.
