Hello parents, My name is Conor Dougherty and I am seeking a nanny or babysitting position in the Steamboat area. I completed my bachelor’s degree in Communication and Creative Writing at CU Boulder in May of 2015. I have since been teaching snowboarding for Steamboat Resort and am currently applying for grad school. I have extensive experience babysitting and teaching children of all ages. I have babysat for many families over the years and am more than happy to provide references upon request. In addition to babysitting, I also have experience as a certified snowboard instructor specializing in children’s group lessons. When working with children I take a fun-loving, activity-driven approach. I believe strongly in outdoor education and attention to each child’s unique needs. I recognize that all children have different learning styles and I feel that this acknowledgment is key to properly caring for a child. What I will provide Anything- I am very willing to work with parents in order to provide the unique experience that their child needs. Reliable transportation- 2008 FJ Cruiser (fully updated and working condition), Valid CO driver’s license, and a clean driving record (as well as a clean criminal record). Activities- Arts and crafts, trips to the park, sports, outdoor activities and instruction (I am an avid backpacker, hiker, climber, biker, and skateboarder), swimming, trips to a museum, anything that is desired. Cooking- I cook all meals homemade and am willing to cook for your child or children. Tutoring- Teaching is one of my passions; I am happy to help with homework or summer reading as needed.
