Sitter in Halifax, Nova Scotia

Hi! My name is Jacqueline and I'm excited to meet you and your family. I have provided in-home babysitting for several families with young children (average age: 18 months), spent some time working in a preschool with kids age 2-3, and worked with the Halifax Regional School Board's after-school program supervising children from primary to grade 4. I especially love caring for babies and young ones! I have experience working with families coping with separation anxiety or the transition of a parent going back to work - I know it can be difficult for both baby and parent, but with patience and TLC we can make it happen! I'm experienced and comfortable with all aspects of a daily routine, from playtime and mealtimes to naps, bathing, and bedtime routines. I'm also happy to do the dishes, run errands, and feed/walk the pets while I'm in your home. My approach is to centre safety, learning opportunities, and fun as my top priorities. We'll work together to get me up to speed on your child's needs, likes/dislikes, daily schedule, and comfort level with new caregivers. I am currently finishing up a contract and will be available on a part-time or full-time basis as of May 15th. I live in the north end on the peninsula but I’m happy to come to you as long as your home is accessible by public transit.
