Sitter Job in Cochrane, Alberta

Our funny and smart one year old baby girl is in need of a caring and responsible playmate to teach her new words, help her learn to walk, sing songs with her, laugh at her jokes (she tells the best jokes), read stories, go for walks, practice the many skills she is developing every day, and above all else keep her safe. I work from home and am looking for the ideal caregiver to give my daughter the undivided attention she deserves while I focus on my work and attend the occasional meeting in Calgary. The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements: - non-smoker - reasonably fit (it takes energy and a strong back to play with, chase after, and carry, a 25 pound infant who will soon be a toddler) - current criminal background check - first aid & CPR - minimum of two references - legal to work in Canada - own transportation, or a ride to our home in the mornings at minimum. If in Cochrane, transportation home at the end of the day can be provided. Responsibilities include: - active play, prepare and feed meals, and provide overall care of infant - during naps perform light housekeeping duties (tidying toys, kitchen, laundry, etc.) Hours: Mondays 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM Tuesdays through Fridays 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM Wage: $12 - $14 per hour Please do not apply if seeking a Live-In sponsored position.
