Babysitter in Saratoga Springs

I am a sophomore at Skidmore College (Saratoga Spgs, NY), majoring in English and possibly minoring in Education. I love kids and have about 8 years of experience working with them, from newborns to preteens. My experience ranges from babysitting a couple of children in a home to supervising a large group in a camp-like setting. I enjoy everything that comes with taking care of children - even changing diapers! I am also very fun and entertaining with interesting games to play and silly voices to use (for those who like silly voices). Overall, I'm a great person if you just need someone to babysit your child(ren) and keep them entertained at the same time. Furthermore, I am a very responsible person and very hard-working as well. I became a student supervisor within the first year of working on campus. I worked a small part-time job in a restaurant this summer and am looking for another way of supporting my college education this summer. I am not a restaurant person but a people person. My heart lies in actually taking care of people, not simply serving them. So, if you hire me, it's a win-win. I win because I get a job I know I'll fully enjoy doing, and you win because you get a great sitter your children are sure to love! If you need me, just let me know, and I'll see what I can do!

I recently found this quotation, by an unknown author, and I found it to really hit home with me. Babies change our lives in such wonderful ways...

Can a Playground Be Too Safe?

Seesaws, tall slides and monkey bars are disappearing from playgrounds. They are being replaced by 'Safety-first' playgrounds. At first thought this seems like a natural and correct evolution, and certainly not an issue of debate, and I imagine that parents who have had to deal with concussio...

Is it Spring Yet?

The calendar says it is so; the robins are here; and the tulips are trying to push up through the residual piles of snow. But the reality is that within the last week we have had snow, ice and below freezing temperatures. Enough already. Those of us who live in the northern United Staes or ...
