My name is Melanie. My education and professional experience are extensive as I nearly completed a degree in Psychology before I realized the fulfillment I would feel from becoming a nurse after I had my son. My nursing career was short lived at 15 years unfortunately, however my passion for caring, giving, and nurturing continued. I have been working as a nanny for 8 years and I love it! I love teaching everything from colors, shapes, sounds, items, to bugs, plants, animals, etc. Teaching is a passion of mine! It thrills me when my little charges say new things or repeat words or actions I have done. Little people are so dynamic and wonderful and amazing. My own son is 19 and is a wonderful, caring, sensitive, sweet young man. I am the favorite auntie to all my young nieces. The little ones I have cared for adore me. I care for the little one's as if they were my own. I have extensive experience providing care to families which I can detail upon meeting..Most often, caretakers are an extension of parenting. I give them all the best that I can, I do not do anything part way. That has always been my philosophy. My care giving practice allows for a positive, encouraging, non-judgmental environment which provides a relaxed and fun environment for learning, creating, and exploring......but best of all, fun!
