Hello, my name is Kimberly. I am a seventeen year veteran teacher who recently left the profession. But, I have found that I miss the children terribly! I also have a deep need to help others, and I feel unfulfilled unless I am doing so. I am a collaborative and enthusiastic leader with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. I am well known for building rapport with students, parents, and staff to earn their respect and foster healthy, positive, and productive relationships. I won many awards and recognitions during my time as a teacher. I have excellent classroom management skills, and never talk down to, yell at, or humiliate students; nor do I engage in power struggles. While details are important, being able to see the big picture is crucial. When interacting with staff, parents, and students, it's not about being right. It's about finding a way to all be on the same page. Tone of voice and body language are so very important when interacting with children. I feel that is often overlooked by adults in the child care profession, and the relationship with the children suffer.
