Our beloved full-time nanny of 11 years is now available. Lucille has decades of experience providing excellent, reliable care for children ranging from newborns to big kids. She is kind, patient, wise, gentle and very loving, and she's excellent with newborns and babies-- very good at setting up and keeping to a schedule - nap, snack, park, lunch, bath, nap, etc. I always came home to happy, rested, clean, content children and a tidy house. My children -- now 11 and 8 - have adored her from the day they were born. We are devastated to see her go but my kids are busy with school and after-school now. Please reach out to her. You'll be glad you did.

I am in a unique position to recommend Lucille, as during the two years she took care of my son (from 3 months of age), I worked from home. Even though I stayed in my office throughout the workday, I could still overhear what went on during their time together, and it always filled me with joy. Lucille arrived on time every morning with a smile on her face, positive energy, and a big hug and kiss for my little one. I watched them form such a special bond, and I truly never worried when they were together. Whether it was tummy time on the carpet, stories, songs, games, or long adventures in the city's parks and playgrounds, I always knew he was loved and cared for by someone who took her responsibility as a caretaker seriously. Lucille always showed great patience and compassion with him along with a unique ability to communicate easily with me and my husband. She never shied away from issues or challenges, and always took a team approach to solving them together. As my baby grew, Lucille taught him to clap, nap, sit and roll over, to eat solids, to pick out his favorite books, to adventure into the sandbox and slide, to draw wonder from the sprinklers in the summer and the bookstore in the winter. To meet new friends and experience playdates, learning to share and take turns. To remember patience and the words to all their favorite songs. To trust in her and flourish under her watch. As he grew into a toddler, together they adventured into music and gym classes, new friends, new foods, and new routines. Lucille did it all with care and confidence, earning implicit trust from me and my husband, a special place in our hearts, and a place in our family forever. Any family would be lucky to have Lucille caring for their children. We are all the better for it, and certainly, so is my son.

I am happy to provide a high recommendation for Lucille Ettienne. Lucille began working for our family when my son Edward was a little less than eight months old, and she very responsibly and lovingly cared for him as he grew into a toddler and pre-schooler. For more than four years, she worked for us as a babysitter and provided light housekeeping, and continuing through the present she works for us one weekend day each week as a housekeeper. I always felt that Edward was safe and in good hands when Lucille watched him. Edward is grown up now, but he and Lucille continue to be attached to each other, and have a very sweet friendship. Lucille is caring, sincere, hard working, honest, reliable, and loyal. My family feels fortunate to have had her as part of our extended family. In fact, there have been family emergency situations when Lucille readily took on additional hours and responsibilities, and she was invaluable in helping us get through those times. From the start, Lucille was very gentle, loving, and nurturing in her care of Edward. When he was a baby, her responsibilities included feeding, bathing, dressing, changing, etc., and of course they spent lots of fun time playing peekaboo and other age-appropriate games, singing songs, reading, and so on. In nice weather, she regularly took him to near-by playgrounds, and before long Lucille and Edward together developed a very nice group of friends and playmates that I also got to know. This was fortunate because when bad weather came and toddler cabin fever hit, informal play groups were only a phone call away. As time went on, these friendships further developed and expanded, and Lucille and Edward and their friends would often plan fun and stimulating trips to indoor playgrounds, museums, or playgrounds in different neighborhoods. Lucille and I always made it a point to discuss parenting issues together to make sure we were in agreement, and to ensure good communication. As you can tell from this letter, this system worked very well. If you have any further or more specific questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
