My name is Angela, my husband and I have a 10 year old daughter and two year old son. We are located at 17th and Willow and are thrilled to announce that we have received our license to open and operate childcare and are ready to start accepting children!!! We believe in teaching our children kindness, love, and respect as well as self-sufficiency, team-work, and problem-solving. Here at A Happy Place we believe in having a curriculum that focuses on being well-rounded. We will be doing some homesteading come spring, with a fruit/veggie garden and raising chickens. We recycle and are planning to start composting this spring as well. Education is also extremely valuable, so we will be working with children to make sure they are ahead of the game when it is time for them to go to school. This will include science, art, writing, reading, and even some math if the child is ready! We understand they are still young, so we will work at their pace and make learning fun! It is also important to be aware of other cultures; we will be exposing the children to a variety of them through the use of music, food, language, and such. Another thing that is really important to us is that children eat healthy meals. We will provide breakfast, lunch, and snacks with our goal to have the majority of their meals be homemade and nutritious. Children are remarkable and we as adults and caregivers have the amazing job of setting them up for their future, as well as ours.
