I have completed my Bachelor of Education in the Primary/Junior division at Schulich School of Education, Nipissing University, Bachelor of Applied Science Degree in Child, Youth and Family and am a Certified Early Childhood Educator. I have my first aid and CPR certification, teacher training, ECE, babysitter training and completed criminal record check. I have a love and passion for working with children and I put all my energy into everything I do. I am an enthusiastic, creative and caring individual who can connect with children in a very positive way. Families I have worked with have always wanted me to return back because of the care I put into everything I do. I am willing to plan and prepare activities that are aimed towards your children interests on my own time so I ensure they have the best time possible. I will do all I can to ensure you and your children are happy and know they are safe and cared for. I have had experience babysitting and working as an Early Childhood Educator and Teacher's Assistant. I have babysat for several families from 2002-Present. The children have been infant to age 12. During babysitting I cared for and played indoors or outdoors, made crafts, completed science experiments, read or did homework with children. I would provide meals for the children while their parents were away and occasionally drove them to extra-curriculars (swimming, dance). I always follow any instructions the parents leave and ensure they return to a clean home when they arrive. During my time at University of Guelph in the Child, Youth and Family program and Teacher’s College I had many experiences in a variety of classrooms. I was responsible for planning and teaching students with a variety of needs and interests. Last summer I worked for the YMCA as an Early Childhood Educator where I followed the Playing to Learn Curriculum and Day Nurseries Act to create a stimulating, safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow. It was also my responsibility to communicate with parents during drop-off and/or pick-up.
