HAPPY FACE DAYCARE IN OTTAWA, opens its door on October 4th, 2015 On January 4th, 2010, after 20 years of experience as a bilingual elementary school teacher in a private bilingual school in Chile, South-america, I started a Home Daycare in Aylmer where the children have been well prepared for Kindergarten, ( only 29% of all subsidized home daycares in Quebec are considered of good quality. (http://....com)). The children learn English and French, plus Spanish. I provide full time care to infants, toddlers and preschoolers. The philosophy is that each child is unique so I provide plenty of opportunities for kids to be themselves and have fun in a positive environment. I promote an early integration of all the instructional areas in the life of a child using a carefully structured program. This Program includes: - An integration of learning and childcare in a structured, positive atmosphere - Instruction in English, French and Spanish - Arts, music, play, language, storytelling and lots of creative activities. - Circle times: songs and games - sign language for babies - pre-reading and pre-writing - pre-math - Rhymes and songs - Preparation for Kindergarten - Preparation for derogation - Happy Face provides an environment where children may interact with each other safely in a place of mutual respect and trust, where each child is considered unique and special, and their talents, skills, abilities and vision, matter.
