Sitter in Athens, Georgia

Greetings Athens area Folks! (Pet & house sitting availability varies, so just message me if you are in need of those services). I’m looking for childcare gigs that are a minimum of 3 hours at a time in addition to pet & housesitting gigs. I also teach music & have experience teaching pre-k. It’s important that families I work with are cautious, safe, & vaccinated if able to be. I have experience with all types of kids in various settings. I do not have a paid sitter for com account so may not be able to view messages on here. About me: I am a UGA graduate turned local Athenian. I have decades of experience in childcare (and at least 10 years of pet & house sitting). I also have plenty of references. I have been (and still am) extremely careful since the pandemic started and am fully vaccinated. I’m a musician with a focus on children’s music/entertainment as well. I can help with homework, making meals, light cleaning, and other various activities. I love reading, playing music, taking walks, & doing anything creative. I do have a limitation as far as lifting heavy things as my back isn’t the best. My most recent family I was with until August had 3 girls (9, 8, & 6 respectively), and a younger special needs boy. Im currently nannying for a 3 year old girl twice a week (so am not available on Wednesdays & Thursdays). I’m in my mid 30’s and I grew up watching my 2 younger siblings & had a heavy hand in raising my 2 brothers. I started babysitting alone when I was 9 or 10. I am punctual, responsible, reliable, communicative, and honest. I won’t ever leave anyone hanging or stranded. I’m very comfortable around kids and I’ve been called an animal whisperer a time or two. I play guitar, sing, and write children’s music along with folk songs. I am happy to help your little ones find their musical gifts as well. The kids entertainment group (Like Totally!) I lead plays at schools, libraries, and various other family events so I’ve also had plenty of background checks over the years. I was a lifeguard for 4 years and can help teach swim lessons. I live on the Eastside of Athens and I’m happy to host at my house if/when needed too (although we are still getting moved in this month). It would definitely be a plus if I could find folks who are also on the East side as well. I live with my partner of 10 years who teaches high school at Cedar Shoals.
