I simply adore kids! After studying at Skidmore College, I opened a Ballet Academy in Madison, CT. This allowed me to blend my love for children and dancing. Later, being married to an opera singer afforded me the opportunity to live in Salzburg, Austria and Germany for many years. During this time, just prior to raising my own two children, I continued teaching and performing ballet and was a caregiver (kindermadchen) to a little Austrian girl for five years. My children were both home-schooled and are now grown, successful and well-adjusted. I am looking for a long term full time position in a family that would like me to grow with them and be an integral part of their lives. I can bring learning, music, fun, creativity, love, and a feeling of security to your child. I have extensive work experience staying with children full-time, over weekends and part-time. I will take them to and from lessons and practices as well as assisting with homework, music practice, meal prep and general household duties. I am fluent in German, have a current passport and am open to summer/vacation travel abroad. It is important today to be very particular and thorough when choosing someone you can trust to love and care for your little ones. I am a member of the International Nanny Association (INA), and continue to expand my knowledge within the world of childcare.
