Whole Kids is a brand new home daycare in the Cub Run district of Fairfax County Schools! We incorporate healthy living into the daycare by providing whole foods, whole activities, and whole environments. We are open from 6:00a to 6:00p, our hours are long in order to better accommodate parents. Later pick-ups may be arranged. About the Provider: My name is Melissa, I am married with two young boys of my own, ages 4 and 2. I am currently earning my Bachelor's of Science degree in Mathematics with a concentration in Education at George Mason University. I have worked with children since adolescence. I volunteered as a Sunday School teacher for many years at my church, I babysat various aged children for over 10 years, I worked as a party leader/planner for a children's party business, and I have assisted in another home daycare for over a year and a half. My certifications/qualifications include: ? CPR & First Aid Certified ? State Licensed ? MAT Certified (for medical administration) ? Fluent in American Sign Language About the Program: Whole Kids' focus is on the well being, health and safety of your children. Breakfast and snack menus will be planned on a monthly basis and will consist of whole, balanced, and often organic meals. A monthly calendar will also be provided with the daily activity. Physical activity is essential for growing children so we engage the children in a variety of outdoor activities, including walks, playground time, obstacle courses, etc. We also incorporate arts & crafts, kid cooks, pajama days, little scientists, and other themed play days! The kids will also have their homework and studying done by the time you pick-up, so you get more free time with your children! Our single family home allows enough room and space for the children to also participate in free play. Our basement is a designated play room and houses a plethora of games and toys, and a super large chalkboard wall! Our fenced in back yard also provides space for the children to run and play freely.
