Sitter Job in Federal Way, Washington

Hi! Our family lives in the Star Lake area of Kent near Federal Way/Des Moines/Auburn. We have a 6 year old son who just started Kindergarten in September. And we just had our second child in December, another boy! We are looking for the following: - Full Time care for our 3.5 month old son (M-F 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM). - Before & after-school care for our oldest including drop-off & pick-up at school (walking distance). We just need someone dependable, caring and attentive to make sure that diapers & feedings occur according to schedule. Someone who will interact with the baby and keep a close eye on him when he sleeps to make sure all is well. And who will cuddle & play with him when he's awake. We would love to cultivate a long-term relationship with a caregiver, so it is important that we can count on you. So communication and arriving on time in the morning and for school drop-off/pick-up are vital. Our oldest loves LEGO'S, action figures, books, running & playing outside. He is very bright, silly & energetic. Occasional homework assistance for him would be a plus, just letters, numbers, printing, sight words & reading. We have one sweet indoor cat who is great with kids, but we just ask that you make sure he doesn't escape outside. We would also be thrilled if you were able to assist with light housekeeping during quiet times, like occasional laundry, loading the dishwasher, picking up toys, etc. Ideally we would love someone with recent coursework in Early Childhood Development that is familiar with current philosophies on infant development and school age learning & discipline.
