Who I Am: My name is Melody. I am a current senior at CSUSB, soon to graduate with honors and a 4.0 GPA. I am experienced working with children of all ages and special needs children. Currently, I volunteer at a facility that promotes positive reinforcement to develop special needs youths' social development. Additionally, I have worked as an attendant at a children's gym, where I cleaned up after the children and kept them busy for hours. The ages ranged from 6 months to 12 years old and I have watched multiple children at a time. I also have a great amount of experience with teens as many of my volunteer positions involve working with that youth age group, including my time volunteering for foster youth. I am trained to interact with any youth under 18 years old. I am more than comfortable preparing meals and playing with any pets you might have; I also have a reliable car and am willing to drive as far as 20 miles.
