Sitter in Southaven, Mississippi

Hello, My name is I'shalay Clay but you can call me Shay for short. I am 20 years old and a student at the University of Memphis. My major is Pre -nursing and my classification is a Junior. My schedule is Clear After 3:00pm except on Thursday i have a second class and I will be done at 6 pm. I am done with class for the week after Thursday because I have No classes on Friday ,Saturday or Sunday. A child’s safety is my priority. A parent is always worried about his or her child being safe, so once in the house or with the child anywhere,i must protect the children from any physical harm. I should watch out for any objects both in the house and playground that can cause harm to the children. Toys should be neatly arranged after playtime to avoid any accidents. I should protect the children in her care from interacting with strangers or coming into contact with any form of danger. As a baby sitter I should expect to do light household chores. Taking care of children can be messy, and i always clean up on a regularly . As a babysitter, it is my responsibility to keep the child clean and clean up utensils and baby bedding. As a rule, i should always leave the house tidy.A parent feels safe knowing that her babysitter is well-prepared in case of an emergency. One of my basic duties is to ensure that I am prepared for emergencies. Every babysitter should undergo emergency training such as first aid and CPR. I should also inquire about the medical history of the children for preparation in case of an emergency. As a babysitter i should keep a record of important phone numbers and emergency contacts for local ambulance service, fire brigade, poison control and the police. It is also a basic duty of a babysitter to ensure that the children I am babysitting are fed. In case of younger children, the parents should direct me on feeding times and meals, and the babysitter should observe the set rules. Being a Sitter, however, I have the ability to observe the children and know if they are hungry. In cases of older children, it is often my responsibility to prepare meals and feed the children I must possess basic cooking skills and have the knowledge to deal with different eating habits. I should also know basic food safety procedures such as how to avert choking.Another task for me is to provide children under my care with engaging activities. A babysitter should be well conversant with both indoor and outdoor activities that will stimulate children’s creativity and enhance their physical wellness. A parent expects the babysitter to keep her child active when the baby is awake. I always do research on activities and games suitable for the age group of the children that i'm babysitting . These interactions will help to build a bond between me myself and the children. I am so overprotective of children and I love and watch over them like they are my children.
