I have recently relocated to the Mission Viejo area. Personally, I have 2 adult sons, 26 & 24 years old. Throughout the years of raising them, I was a stay home mother involved in EVERY facet of their rearing. Professionally, I have been a swim coach/swim instructor for over 25 years, many of those positions I was the Head Coach/Instructor. While in these profession, I have coached all ages & levels of children. Instantly, you will notice I am a fair, confident and reasonable personality. Please, read my Bio. I was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. As an age group swimmer and competitor I had much success and experienced swimming under top-level coaches and established programs. I began my coaching during the summer months of my high school and college years, working for the Columbus Recreation and Parks Department. While attending The Ohio State University I was a member of the NCAA National Champion Synchronized Swim Team. Also, at Ohio State I experienced top finishes both the Senior and Junior National levels. After college my family and I moved to New York. There I joined the coaching staff of a USA Swimming team in the Metropolitan New York area, Middletown Recreation Swim Team (MRST). While coaching MRST my swimmers achieved Top 16 reportable times and Metro Zone Team selection and qualifying times. Several of my swimmers continued at the college level. While coaching in New York, I was selected for the coaching staff of the Metropolitan Zone Team and The Metropolitan/Connecticut Elite Age Group swim camp. I was also instrumental in initiating the club’s Learn-to Swim program. In moving to Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania I was part of the staff at Scranton Preparatory High School. Here I gained experience in coaching at the High School level. These athletes were PIAA State Qualifiers, Finalist and Champions. Moving to western Pennsylvania in 2001, I was on a pool deck at numerous locations in the Pittsburgh area; including Chartiers Country Club (2003-11), Quaker Valley High School (2001-07...) and Chartiers Valley High school (2010-12). After initially joining the coaching staff of Chartiers Valley Swim Club (CVSC) the fall of 2006 as their Masters Coach, I assumed the Head Coaching role the summer of 2007. While in this role my athletes achieved USA Top 20 Age Group rankings (individual and relay), Eastern Zone IM Extreme Qualifiers & Finalist, PIAA State Qualifiers & Finalist and Eastern Zone Speedo Series Sectional & Super Sectional Qualifiers & Finalist (individual & relays). Finally, on the local level, within the Allegheny Mountain Swimming (AMS) LSC, CVSC members & team consistently finished in the Top 10 in all AMS Championships and Top 10 reportable times. Having moved to Columbus, OH 2014, I joined the Greater Columbus Swim Team of Ohio (GCSTO) staff. February 2015, I assumed the Level 1 Head Coach, St. Charles location, coaching position. Here I brought to the GCSTO coaching staff experience in: producing successful athletes at all levels, developing programs in size and reputation, and establishing a confident learning atmosphere for all. Upon my return to Pittsburgh in 2016, I returned to the Quaker Valley High School’s Varsity Swimming/Diving program, as the Head Coach. This program’s male squad finished 1st (for their 3rd consecutive year) and the Female squad finished 3rd at the WPIAL Championships. The program also had Individual & Relay finalist at the PIAA State Championships. I also returned to the AMS pool deck in an assistant coaching role with West Allegheny Aqua Club (WAAC). As of September 2017, I relocated to the Mission Viejo area, in order to be closer to my adult children.
