I became a caregiver because I wanted to help the next generation at the best and critical stage in which they are very impressionable. The time frame is from about 3 years old until 13 years old. This is the time children need a responsible adult to help guide them in the correct direction. I have babysat my little cousin for at least eight years and because of the love I had for doing my job, so I am in college with a child and adolescent studies major to impact childrenâ s life in many different aspects. I have been a lead teacher at a daycare center for a year as well as other jobs within the teaching field. For example, I have worked as a teacherâ s aide and assistant teacher. I love my job because I love to see the joy and excitement on childrenâ s face in different situations such as learning something new or being able to express themselves in a creative way. I am great at what I do because I have a very calm personality, so I am able to work with any child no matter what could have happened in the past or future. I have a good sense in explaining hard situations to children in their appropriate age or development stage in order for them to understand. I am CPR and First Aid certified and MedTech trained (so I am certified to administer medications to children).
