Majority of my duties vary from family to family but a few things stay the same. I find that good communication is key to having a great relationship with parents and children. I believe the children need consistency when it comes to nanny and parent dynamic. Meaning constructed rules to follow for the family and nanny. To explain further, I like to follow all rules the parents have set for the children while still having a joyful time. Now don't get me wrong, I'm a very friendly, caring and creative nanny. I enjoy being outdoors, making crafts and teaching the children something new everyday. I have had the pleasure of working overseas at a Scandinavian Daycare which taught a lot on how to interact with children even with a language barrier. Children can be teachers too! The whole style is different which is what I loved about being there. I learned that we can teach children to think on their own, while still showing them how the world around the, works. For majority of my young adulthood I have been taking care of children in one way or another. My experiences vary from Nanny-Daycare-Swim instructor. I have worked with children who are behavioral or struggle more than others. Also have experience with Twins. Overall, all ages and personalities.
