As a fomor educator, I believe education should not be siloed solely to a classroom but infused in every experience. I have worked with children & adults with disabilities in various environments including my time working with NESEC, NESDRA, & Special Olympics. As a neurodivergent individual, my brain naturally embraces a holistic approach in all aspects of my life which has provided me with a unique ability to recognize invisible connections across multiple platforms & established relationships throughout numerous layers, gifting me the ability to quickly establish the foundational challenges a child is struggling to overcome, in addition to creating the most effective solution to assist a child based on their individual needs. My time with children abroad creating English programs for institutions in South Korea, tutoring Monks in Buddhist Temples in Laos, & building training programs for the Long Neck Tribes in the jungles of Thailand, have provided me with a special understanding of acceptance & an enhanced appreciation for diversity. My unquenched desire to help people, flawless acceptance of adversity, and love for challenging adventure, have taken me around the world & continue to be leading components in my life today. In summary, I value babysitting because I believe our personal experiences provide each of us with a unique set of tools & I see babysitting as an opportunity to use life's tool kit in the most rewarding way possible, by building environments in which children can flourish in.
