Hello, my name is Amanda and I am a Registered Early Childhood Educator in the downtown area, looking to pick up occasional babysitting jobs in Toronto. I am looking to babysit between the hours of 7pm-12am (maybe a bit later) during the week (except Mondays and Wednesdays until December) and anytime on the weekends. I charge 14$ an hour (17$ for two or more children) for awake hours (during the day, before the child is asleep, including putting them to bed) and 11$ an hour (13$ for two or more children) for night time hours (after the children are asleep). A bit about myself: I graduated Seneca in 2013 from the ECE diploma program and immediately began working in a daycare with infants age 4mths-17mths. A year later I took a position as a toddler teacher at another center with children age 17mths-2.5 years, where I continued to work for the next two years. In March of 2016, I moved to Ireland and began my career as a nanny working for a lovely family with three children ages 6,4 and 2. I returned to Canada in 2017 and started work as a nanny for a family in Parkdale with a baby, 5mths old. Before getting my diploma in 2013 (and since) I have held many long-term babysitting jobs for families all over the GTA with children ages 1-10 as well as caring for my nieces and nephews. I am often described as a responsible, creative and fun loving person and I enjoy learning from and teaching children of all ages! I really enjoy the outdoors and creative activities. In my spare time, I take part-time coding courses, go for hikes outside the GTA and I paint occasionally. I am a non-smoker with no allergies and I am comfortable working with a family who has pets/does smoke, I would be taking the TTC to and from jobs. I am more than comfortable taking the children on outings to the park or drop-in center, I have a knowledge of first aid and CPR and I am comfortable minding children in a pool/lake setting.
