East Granby family needs a part-time nanny/babysitter ASAP! Our after-school provider was injured unexpectedly and can't care for my two girls. We have back-up care through this week, but beyond that: nothing. This is an immediate fill! Before you reach out, I need someone that is absolutely reliable and available during the schools' Professional Development Days, most vacations and early release. This means that if you're a high school student outside the East Granby district, your schedule is different and this job will not work out for you. College students are welcome to apply--and have been used consistently, and successfully, in the past---but again, I need someone that can meet early release, in-service days and vacations. College students must have the ability to juggle their class schedules around to meet our requirements. If you're a freshman or sophmore still working through core classes, you will have trouble meeting this requirement. If you can't meet these qualifications, please don't respond. We are in a crisis situation and the family needs to focus their efforts on applicants that can meet the very specific scheduling requirements The ideal candidate will be with our family for the foreseeable future, to include summers. ************** Seeking in-home, dependable, part-time nanny/babysitter in East Granby for two school-age girls (7 and 11 years). Schedule consistently includes after-school hours on Mon/Tue/Wed/Thurs from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. At times, may include early release (pre-scheduled), teacher in-service (pre-scheduled from 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 pm), on-call snow days (7:45 a.m. to 4:30 pm), school vacation, or school weather delays. No extra services (cleaning, cooking, and laundry) required. Just spend quality time, oversee homework, and conduct fun activities with two sweet girls and one crazy dog until parents come home from work. Driving to dance class 1x per week requested. Must have valid transporation and current license. References, background check, dependable car, and current driver's license required. Start date: ASAP Weekdays [Mon/Tues/Wed/Thurs]: $120 per week. Unscheduled snow days and teacher in-service days (7:45 a.m. to 4:30 pm): $100 per day Vacation [depends on numbers of days, will offer a flat rate not to exceed $300 per week]. We do have a large breed dog, please consider your comfort level with dogs when applying. You should be willing to help with 6th grade and 2nd grade homework, as applicable. We encourage outdoor play, games, and arts/crafts activities. The girls are well-behaved and well-mannered. The dog...not so much. You win some, you lose some.
