Sitter in Frederick, Maryland

Hello! My name is Emmie, and is rather experienced with children both deaf and hearing. I am able to communicate almost fluently in American Sign Language, as I was nearly deaf myself for a good amount of time (almost 10 years) before receiving Cochlear Implants. Also, I speak decent English (or at least I hope so!) As an older and active Girl Scout, I have dealt with a variety of kids, from the most rambunctious to children with disabilities, such as Down Syndrome, blindness & deafness, those that are confined to wheelchairs, and ADHD, though looking for more experience of disabilities other than deafness. I am quite active, and work the best with toddlers, but can work with preteens and babies. I have done group babysitting solo with up to four different aged youngsters. I am CPR trained for both adults/teens and toddler/babies, and know the Heimlich Maneuver (the Red Cross First Aid class covered the basics of it.) My schedule is limited, due to the fact that I am still in high school and sporadic Girl Scout events, but otherwise I am free to babysit your child(ren)!
