Sitter in Laurens
Background: Because of my love for children, I decided to open up my own family daycare called Little Tots Family Daycare in 2003. At the time at which my daycare was open, I kept six children along with my only daughter who is now 20 and currently in college. During the time at which my daycare was open, I tended to two shifts: first and second. The kids that I cared for ranged between ages 1-10. I was certified with DSS in Laurens County where I was required to take 30 hours per year for child care classes at the Laurens YMCA via the ABC voucher program. I was also eligible to receive ABC vouchers from Laurens County DSS office. Little Tots Family Daycare was open for approximately 4 years. The reason for closing the daycare was due to my mother's death. She helped greatly with tending to the kids, and I decided to close the daycare after she passed away. Even though my daycare is no longer open, I still continue to interact with kids. Currently, I substitute teach at the local schools in the Laurens area since my daughter is no longer at home. There's never a dull moment with the kids that I interact with each day, and if I must say so myself I enjoy it because they keep me young too. Since summer is in session for the kids in Laurens County, I am not substitute teaching right now. My schedule is fairly flexible, meaning I am able to care for children pretty much the whole day for any parent that needs a Babysitter. If you have any further questions, feel free to contact me via email or cell.
