Hello, my name is Holly and I am currently looking for a family to help this summer. I love when I am given the opportunity to care for children, watching them learn and grow. In the past I have provided care for multiple families, but these are some notable instances. For three years I faithfully managed a family of three young boys. Many times I embraced and guided their short attention spans as we excitedly ran to new creative games and crafts, all the while encouraging them to pay attention a little longer when they were on the brink of discovery. I am great at creating applicable activities for every age to enjoy and engage with. I also have cared for a middle school girl with severe cognitive disabilities, including intense physical limitations, eating and speech impediments. This was certainly a challenge, but I was patient and listened carefully, providing any necessary assistance. I monitored her eating at meal times and her balance during play times. We had so much fun, alway finding something creative and silly to do. During my time with her I loved seeing her open up and speak more confidently, clearly improving upon her skills. What sets me apart as a nanny is my ability and my intentional devotion to each child. I truly care about the children I watch and actively seek to make each day the best. I stand firm with the rules parents set and can patiently explain these rules while at times disciplining if necessary. During play time I find things that siblings of all different ages can do together. I ask questions to get them thinking and inspire them, letting their own creativity take over from there. Additionally, I am able and willing to do extra household chores when I am given a free moment. You will find that I am the highest quality nanny since I strive to do everything I can and more for the good of the children. I am constantly improving and growing in my skills.
