Summary: Hi there my name is Wendy and I live in Powder Springs, GA. I have 2 daughters who are grown and starting families of their own leaving me with too much time on my hands. I have loved children since I was a young teen and could not wait to begin babysitting. I have many nieces and nephews for whom I had an active roll in helping to raise each of them. I do not look at caring for a child as all work, I truly enjoy spending time with children. I admit I do love the babies, I feel as though holding an infant is chicken soup for my soul. I may tend to fall for the little ones, however, I adore children of all ages, I feel to be given the opportunity to have a hand in the growth of any child is a gift. A child absorbs everything around them as they grow. We all know how quick a child is to act or say things they have been exposed to, both good and not so good at times. You have to watch what you say and know if it is something that should not be repeated then we should choose our words carefully. To be given the opportunity to spend time with a child is an opportunity to play a role in the person that child will become. To spend time with a child and (what my grandfather used to say) get on the floor and play with them is an opportunity to help that child learn so many things. I enjoy using conversation as a tool to help children learn to read and count and so many other things. Simple conversation with a child can be a fun way to help that child grow in many ways. I am an active mother of 2 adult daughters and recently a grandmother. Those around me would ne quick to say I do not act like a grandmother, I am much too active and young at heart. I live in Powder Springs but do not have a problem sitting outside of the area. I would love a chance to speak with you more if you would like and to meet your children. I have worked as a medical assistant for 10 plus years and know child first aide and cpr. I believe I am an excellent caregiver for your child second to you when you are needing a hand.
