Cover letter: I am completing my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education at Southern New Hampshire University. In my time at SNHU, I have maintained a 3.8/4.0 GPA, participated in over 50 hours of field experience in multiple New Hampshire School Districts, and worked in a Daycare as a Lead Teacher. Throughout my years at SNHU I have been able to shape myself into a leader and a role model to those around me. I believe I have many contributions that would positively impact your school community. I have been a very hard worker and I believe it shows through my accomplishments and how involved I am in my own school community. I have held multiple leadership/executive board positions in my sorority, Kappa Chi, such as Affiliate Educator, Secretary, and Philanthropy Chair. As Affiliate Educator I created 18 lesson plans to teach to seven Affiliates through the course of six weeks in Affiliate Education. By taking on this position and the other two positions I have been able to work on my teamwork, problem solving, and communication skills. In addition, I work at a Daycare, where I learned how to manage/teach 15 children at a time. As a lead teacher I plan what our day is going to look like for the students, as well as, resolve any problems or issues that may arise with the children. Through my past experiences I have learned how to work with others very well and to communicate with those around me to accomplish what needs to get done. I look forward to using the skills that I have gained through my past experiences in the classroom. As a student teacher, I look forward to fully immersing myself into a classroom everyday, working with the students, and learning from a teacher who has the same passion I do for teaching.
