A Little About Me: Hi! My name is Ashanti, I am 22 and I am currently a junior at NC A&T majoring in biology and animal laboratory science with a concentration in veterinary science. Being the oldest child of 4 as well as the oldest grandchild of 8, I have been caring for children all of my life. I initially started with watching my younger siblings then branched out towards watching my neighbors kids too. I have always enjoyed watching children of all ages and appreciated every opportunity I was given to contribute to each child's happiness, education as well as their fundamental development. I consider each child's individual needs and enjoy coming up with fun activities for us to do whether it be outside fun, indoor camping or arts and crafts during the colder or rainy days. I possess a wide range of child care skills and knowledge that meets and exceeds most parents criteria such as: -Highly skilled in supervising and monitoring the safety of children. -Hands-on experience in preparing meals and organizing mealtimes and snacks. -Demonstrated ability to help children keep good hygiene. -Able to change diapers of infants and toddlers. -Knowledge of keeping records of children's progress, routines, and interests.
