I am a retired, energetic fun-loving grandmother who is available to walk your children home from school or bus, give them a snack, take them outside to play until you return from work. I am also comfortable with pets. I am responsible, dependable, flexible adaptable, healthy and physically fit. I have taken a first aid course and have a current police record check. I recently worked for a diplomatic family with 3 children. I picked them up from school, prepared their dinner and lunches, tidied up and kept the kitchen clean and organized. The family has since returned to England. I worked for the Ottawa Safety Council as a Walking School bus leader for three years. With my partner we had up to 18 children. I have volunteered at CHEO, had a weekly assignment in the Day Surgery waiting room and worked at events such as Teddy Bear Picnic, CN Cycle, CHEO Telethon. I was inducted into the “Order of the Good Bear” at CHEO in 2017. I enjoy children and have been working with them for the past five years.
