Working with children has always been my passion. When I was old enough, I babysat my younger sibling and cousins as well as for several different families from my hometown. One family in particular has four children that I babysat several times a week. Throughout high school, I was involved with the recreation department. Through this organization, I refereed for youth basketball teams and was an assistant coach for a kindergarten church team. In high school, I took child development and childcare classes offered by my local community church. I prepared lesson plans as well as observed and interacted with preschool students twice a week. It was really an amazing opportunity to have this experience in high school. Throughout college, I have continued to actively be involved in volunteer opportunities working with children. My willingness to be involved in my college community, has afforded me the opportunity to work with a wide range of ages, and see the growth and development in these kids cognitive abilities. I am a very energetic, loving, caring, motivated young lady who seeks to bring out the best in people young and old.
