My name is Rosalia, I have a bachelor degree in engineering. Right now, I am focused on improving my English as a second language. I am looking forward to have my own Daycare facility and provide my services to families with kids. I worked in a Daycare center in Arlington, Va for the last 4 months which provided bilingual services for the kids that want to learn Spanish. Consequently, I spoke all the time in Spanish which is my native language to teach the kids, that was a unique experience. The first month, I took care children of 3 to 12 months. I was mainly in charge of one boy and one girl My duties were: Change dippers every time needed. Feed them every two hours. Prepare food and baby bottles when needed. Help the kids to digest food by palming their back gently. Change baby position on the crib several times a day to have them comfortable Play relaxing music On the second month I took care children of 1 to 2 years old. I was mainly in charge of 4 kids. My duties were: 1. Receive the kids at the kiss and ride in the morning every day. 2. Every morning I guided / taught them to organize their shoes and jacket so they learn themselves. 3. Have them situated to have breakfast 4. Playtime, this time was mostly to teach them recognize different scenarios (identify colors, animal sounds, geometric forms) 5. After playtime have them situated for a small snack. 6. Playtime, this time was to have them running, dancing and exercising around. Interact with other kids and also learn songs. 7. Lunch time! As a care giver we had to make sure everything is carefully cleaned and washed before we feed the kids. We also know that every kid has a different diet and restriction, because of this; we took care of every child necessity. 8. After lunch, we read books for them and then take a nap time. Finally, the kids would go back and play more before the parents come and pick them up. Right now I am looking forward to keep building experience taking care kids to have my own Daycare in the future.
