I'm an
Individual
Hello Childcare Seekers, My name is Caitlin, and I operate "Chee in a Tree Childcare".We are licensed through the city of Vancouver and Vancouver coastal health. I currently have part time and full time spots available for children between the ages of 30 months and 5 years old. I have over 10 years of experience working with children. I am a certified ECE, have my first aid, food safe and Bachelor of arts degree. I have an entire floor dedicated for childcare and a separate nap room. I have a big beautiful backyard equipped with a play set, sandbox and climbers. I will be running an educational program balanced with play. Please visit my website at www.....com for more information My Philosophy: We believe that every child learns and develops in his or her own time and manner. It is of great importance to our centre that the children feel safe and comfortable in their learning environment. In order for this to be achieved we believe that it is imperative to create a holistic and inclusive atmosphere for the community, families and children at our centre. We believe in an open door policy and discrimination free environment that celebrates multiculturalism. We believe that being genuinely passionate for the wellbeing of children is of the utmost significance. Young children are constantly learning through their senses, by exploring and discovering the world around them. We believe in allowing children to mature by nurturing and encouraging this natural manifestation. We are strong advocates in supporting a child’s right to learn through play. Our centre will revolve around a child directed emergent curriculum that is supported by teachers. Children deserve to be valued and respected for their uniqueness. We believe in guiding children based on their own thoughts and ideas. By following the lead of child originated concepts, children have the freedom to learn without restrictions. We trust in the importance of developing a child socially, emotionally and intellectually. Therefore, we want to offer a space for children to be creative, imaginative and cooperative. We will create a learning environment with projects that challenge and foster growth. Our program will promote the success in each child, which is honored by the process of learning and growth as oppose to mastery. Our goal is to help each child at our centre to build internal confidence, create social relationships and strengthening their cognitive learning. We hope to learn alongside children by inspiring a program that encompasses acceptance, diversity and compassion. As the Youth Pastor at Lord's Love Church, I have seen Caitlin's passion for healthy development in the children's formative years on display time and time again. Her patience, creativity, flexibility and, perhaps most importantly, her genuine love for children are not only noticeable but truly commendable. Caitlin goes above and beyond what is simply asked for. Words like trustworthy, committed and encouraging would most definitely describe her. Her strong interpersonal skills would brighten up anyone's day, thereby making pleasant interactions for child and parent alike. With all the comments above and her experience, I would without reservation recommend Caitlin and "Chee in a Tree" Daycare!
