I've been caring for children in my home for over 15 years. I began doing child care while I was home on a career sabbatical caring for my elderly grandmother. When my daughter was born, I naturally continued to stay home and watch children as well. I've taken child care certification courses and am in compliance with fire and health inspection standards, as well as current on my child and infant CPR. My home is smoke-free and my yard is completely fenced in. I am also a dog lover and have Boston Terriers who are very friendly and great with the children. The summer time is especially fun as we play outside and have fun in the backyard. During the winter months, my indoor playroom has everything a daycare center does. Kiddie chairs and tables, plenty of toys, a large open area for active play, books and shelves and a media center with a computer for all their educational needs. The toys I provide are all child safe and appropriate for infants and toddlers and are geared for creative play; building blocks, shapes, colors, numbers, puzzles, things that GO; cars, trucks and whatnot. My media center has educational programs for beginners learning the basics to ensure kindergarten readiness.
