Isabel is a wonderful, caring person. She worked for me for about 30 years. There is not anything she can’t do. She can cook, clean serve at parties, Take care of old people, young people, child care, dog care, and most anything you need. You would be lucky to have her.

Isabele is a breath of fresh air. She joined our family as a part-time caregiver for our Uncle. In a short-time she took on the added responsibilities to help us with my Mom as well. My Mother suffers from Alzheimer’s Disease. Isabele is incredibly caring, nurturing , organized, very efficient and exhibits tremendous patience. There was no task or initiative that Isabele didn’t tackle with incredible passion and the love of caring for people. While she cared for our elders, it didn’t take long for our two granddaughters to love Isabele. We wholeheartedly recommend Isabele in her endeavors to seek a position with sitters.com.

Isabel has worked with my family since January 2008. I’m going to try to express how wonderful she is, but honestly as glowing as I hope this letter is, I know that I will fall short of conveying everything Isabel is as a worker and as a person. There is nothing she can’t do and she has become part of our family. Isabel initially started working for me to help care for my younger son when he was a toddler and to provide light housework so that I could concentrate on caring for my older son who has very significant medical and developmental disabilities. Her role quickly expanded to caring for my older son as well, and largely running my household. It expanded again with the birth of my daughter. Isabel has been amazing with my children in all stages of their lives. She is warm, loving, attentive and engaging. As they aged, she seamlessly adjusted from caring for them as babies, to toddlers to teenagers. They call her “Nana” and consider her to be their third grandmother. Her responsibilities for my older son’s care have expanded as my younger children became more self-sufficient. Drew is now 19 years old, is non-verbal, non-ambulatory and is fully dependent for all activities of daily living. Isabel prepares his food, feeds him, dresses him, uses a mechanical lift system to transfer him from his wheelchair, changes his diapers, gives him medicine, and so much more. This work requires a great deal of physical strength, an eye for detail, and compassion. She has provided these same services for many older adults as well and cared for them as if they were her own family in their final years. In addition to caring for my children, Isabel provided housekeeping duties. She is one of the rare people who can walk into a home, and know exactly what needs cleaning, where everything goes, and what food needs to be prepared. She cleaned, did laundry, organized things I didn’t even know needed organizing, is a fabulous cook, and kept our house running smoothly. She is also an excellent driver. Isabel is also just wonderful to be around. It can be difficult to have someone in your home but Isabel is a fantastic presence. She is great company but also knows when to drop back and give privacy. She is extremely flexible, changing roles as needed and has an ability to learn and assess on the fly. She is also reliable and very efficient - I’m not sure how she cares for everyone and manages to get everything done, but she does.
