I love babysitting, nannying, and being around children (and helping with homework or reading to them), but I also enjoy helping out around the house cleaning or doing laundry, and helping with pets! As a 2013 graduate of Fitchburg State University, I graduated with a dual major of Special Education, Moderate Disabilities, grades PreK-8 and Elementary Education, grades 1-6. I earned my degree on graduation night with Laude Honors. I am also a Certified Teacher through the MA Department of Early Education & Care for Infants and Toddlers, and a Certified Lead Teacher for Preschoolers/Pre-K. I have worked in the toddler, preschool, and Pre-K classrooms. Most recently, in February of 2019, I earned my 4.0 Masters Degree in Integrated Curriculum, with a Focus Study of Special Education. I completed this 15-month accelerated program through the American College of Education. My teaching and working experiences in a number of different classrooms and multiple ages, have truly taught me the value of patience and encouragement in all classrooms, but especially in the special education classroom. I work closely with each student, providing the individualized support and praise they require to be successful in all activities and academic areas. I also make sure to stay connected with my co-teachers and my students' parents/family members, to encourage the success of each student, both in and outside of the classroom. I have truly appreciated and learned from every child and every family I have worked with; I cannot imagine having any other job. I am challenged daily to be creative, understanding, nurturing and most important, patient.
