Hi my name is Makenzi, and I simply love caring for children of all ages! My interest in child care began all the way back in high school, where I took my first child development class. Since then I have taken numerous infant, toddler, and child development courses, as well as early education courses throughout my college career. I have even taken classes where I got to observe, assist, and teach in classrooms, schools, and one on one settings. My job experience in child care began 8 years ago when I was 16 years old, but even before that the younger children in my family and neighborhood had always taken a particular liking to me. I credit that to my ability to be fun, creative, and at times very silly in order to engage kids in all sorts of settings or activities. I enjoy things like puzzles, arts and crafts, creative play, outdoor play, and messy play. I like to make sure parents are involved in all the fun we have throughout the day by sending pictures, videos, or sometimes creating something to show you when you get home. I have cared for children of all ages from infants to teenagers, and have watched up to 4 children at one time. I do have experience caring for children with specific health care needs, and neurodiverse children as well. I am also very comfortable with 4 legged family members. I have worked with a wide variety of families, and adjust myself accordingly to their styles, needs, beliefs, and rules. I am open to anything from being just an occasional or one time sitter to being a full time nanny. I am flexible and rates do vary depending on your families needs and wants like laundry, errands, activity trips, pick ups/drop offs, cooking, cleaning, etc. To sum it up as a person I am dependable, patient, and compassionate. As well as friendly, loving, creative, and nurturing. But above all I truly love and have a deep passion for what I do, and strive to meet the individual and specific needs of each family and child I work with
