My name is Karen Dorado, I am 39 years old and was born in Xalapa,Veracruz Mexico. I have lived in Chicago for 17 years. I am married and have two daughters of my own ages 14 and 12. I consider myself to be a good mother,daughter & sister because family is what I value the most. I like to share my culture with my daughters because I am proud of who I am and what I have become living in Chicago. I like to work with children and have had the opportunity to work with them. I worked at a daycare approximately in 2015. Depending on the child’s age, I like to show them what there has to be taught in order for them to be successful. Their growth is an important thing to us as parents because we should take to consideration that as they grow they are using the techniques we have taught them to become an independent individual. I like to teach children in a way where they will comprehend easily while having fun because they are only children. Working with children has helped me realize that our time with them as children is short. Day by day they continue to grow and little do we know they have become a bigger and better version of themselves. Children are unique in their own way and I believe that patience is how I am able to understand them. The time I have spend with children, I’ve realized that they are able to form good relationships with me. They are able to change my perspective on how to positively view things.Children are able to trust quickly and it is important for them to at least have someone who they can always rely on.
