My first 5 dogs were purebred labs. Then someone from work talked me into taking home a “mutt”. We had no idea what he was. I had Tug for 12 years and he became my best friend - I will always miss him - he is at rest on my mantle now???. I’m retired from federal service and am looking for ongoing short and long term set appointments that will also help keep me fit. I’ve trained and worked with drug-alerrting dogs, worked with bomb-alerting dogs. I have some flexibility in my schedule and can adjust it on an as-needed basis.Currently, I have two dogs and they are both friendly with other dogs: Sandy my female, and Jake, my male. Sandy came to me abused and completely afraid of human attention. Now she will play when she is in a good mood and is my door greeter! Jake, well, Jake is my baby. he is definitely learning his English and building that vocabulary each and every day. Jake is blind from abuse to his face. He swims, runs (yes sometimes into things that’s why he knows “stop” VERY well) and “play ball”, “left”, “right”, in addition to the typical commands we teach all dogs the sits and stays and so on..... home is hidden in the back of 30 acres where I farm some and have a creek to walk my dogs to as well as private trails for walks. I don’t kennel either of mine at night anymore but do have a large kennel if it is needed. I enjoy taking Blind Jake on walks and getting him out of the house.I’m retired from federal service and my only current “job” is training Jake on dealing with his lack of sight. I am looking to establish ongoing long-term clients and mostly set schedule but I have some flexibility in my schedule.I live on 30 acres of woods and farmland in the Isabel community and am close to Enon, Folsom, Franklinton, Sun, Bush and the Bogalusa areaAbout My ServicesI offer: Dog Boarding: $25 per night.
