Sitter in Johnstown, Colorado

My days are free right now and I am looking to care for just one or two children and give them my full attention. I would also love to care for your little cherub/s at my home, but I will consider yours. I live in Johnstown, just about 5 minutes from I-25, in Rolling Hills Ranch. I have years and years of childcare experience I am a mother of 4, Grand-mother of 10 soon to be 11, so I am aquainted with all things children of most every age. Children always feel at home and safe around me and are usually drawn to my funny, quirky ways. Laughter, is the music from the soul and I like to find humor in just about every situation. I love music and I think it is another positive outlet to share with kiddos of every age. I like to get to know the children I am associated with, their likes, their fears, and am quite comfortable rocking and singing to the tiny ones, reading one book over and over if needed, age appropriate crafts, making grand tents, playing pretend or just sharing a movie with older children. My grands always want something yummy from the kitchen and together we have quite a bang up time. In general I want to be your child's soft place to fall, an anchor while mom and dad are working, a buddy and a friend. I promise a loving, caring environment with lots of hugs and positive input, nourishing meals and snacks, Kids love to try new things as do I. I have a lot of children's books, but the grands always say, Grammy tell us one of your stories, and I do, I love to make up stories with valuable lessons and wonderful positive things about our planet. I think kids probably hear more of the daily news than we would like them to. I want to turn the lights on and give them hope for a brighter, happy tomorrow. I know how important a loving environment is and I will provide just that for your little ones. Years ago, my husband gave me a plaque that says "Love grows here" and so it does. Glowing references.
