As a certified and experienced early childhood educator and care professional, it is my passion and my intent to provide dedicated, engaging, effective and progressive high-quality service and care. I have over 4 years experience working with and teaching children; as well as my Associate of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education and Preschool Teacher Certification (6/2015 - LA Pierce College). Previous work experience includes: Party Coordinator & Assistant - CA Kiddo Club, Agoura Hills; After School Teacher & Summer Camp Counselor (Kinder-5th) in Calabasas with the West Valley YMCA; Lead Pre-K Teacher (Age 4, Summer Camp Program) - Buonora Child Dev. Center, Reseda and most recently Lead Teacher (Age 3) - Creative Years Preschool, Santa Clarita. My teaching and care philosophy is founded on my core belief and understanding that children are naturally eager to explore and grow! As a caregiver, it is my job to engage and facilitate the connection-making process of learning successful through play and/or meaningful experiences in a safe, supportive and empowering environment. I work with parents & family to establish and ensure consistent and fair boundaries; as well as address and work with children displaying "undesirable" behavior or have difficulty mastering social/emotional behaviors in a patient, positive and encouraging manner. And of course, I can implement activities that are developmentally appropriate, open-ended, and self-motivated in nature, inviting young minds to be enriched and engaged in all areas of development. With the over-arching goal to teach children how to navigate themselves, fostering self confidence in their mastering of autonomy, through a multitude of experiences and learning objectives that expose and prepare children to the wonders and challenges of the world today.
