Eileen is a loving, gentle, caring person. I had the privilege of working closely with her in a preschool classroom that contained both general education and special education students for several years. When I learned that Eileen would be my classroom aide, several teachers told me how fortunate I was because she was a highly respected and sought after classroom aide. She treated each child with respect, patience, and kindness. Eileen enjoys dong hands on activities such as crafts, playing games, and exploring outside with children. She speaks to them at their level and takes the time to become familiar with their individual strengths and interests. I am confident that she will be a wonderful child care provider. She is fun, but always safety conscience. I relied on her to keep all of our students safe and happy. I was able to count on Eileen to lead group lessons and know that she would instruct them with patience and take the time to insure that all of the students in her group understood the lesson. She shows great compassion for children who are sad or missing their parents. Eileen is able to quickly distract them and comfort them by playing with them or giving them a hug. She is creative and enjoys doing fun and messy crafts and activities with children. When we worked in the classroom together, I depended on her to help me plan hands-on activities to do with the class. I also know that Eileen does not hesitate to change a diaper, deal with bathroom accidents, or other bodily fluids. She handles accidents without getting upset or making the child feel uncomfortable. I have been a teacher for over 30 years and know that some people are naturals with children, Eileen is one of those people. She instinctively understands what each individual needs and is able to meet those needs with love, patience, and compassion. I strongly recommend Eileen as a child care provider. If I had children in need of a baby sitter, I would not hesitate to use Eileen. I would be confident that they would be safe and happy while I was not with them. It would be like having a favorite aunt stay with them!
