My name is Carly and I recently graduated from the Child and Youth Worker Advanced Diploma Program at Algonquin College, and have chosen this career based on a passion for supporting children and youth. Throughout the program, I had the opportunity to learn many techniques through hands-on experiences while developing and instructing activities for children. These activities have been implemented based on their skill strengths, behavioural challenges and developmental needs. I am currently an Educational Assistant with both the Ottawa public and catholic school boards. I have also been working at the Ottawa Athletic Club in the Playcare department for the past three years working with children ages 0-9, I have also had experience coaching girls hockey along with running camps for children.
