I have had the opportunity to work as an Occupational Therapy Intern with a various group of children specifically children with special needs in school and pediatric clinic/hospital setting. I am a caring, and professional with a Certificate in First aid and CPR training. Our goal as Occupational Therapist/Intern is to improve the student’s performance of tasks and activities important for successful school functioning, and to ensure an understanding of, and match between the student’s skills and abilities and the expectations placed on him/her in the school setting. This experience helped me to gain expertise in planning and implementing teaching methods that incorporate students’ learning and needs to achieve all areas of his/her life--cognitive, physical, and motor skills, while building self-esteem in group or individual session. And also I addressed psychological, environmental and social factors that may interfere with a child's ability to perform important learning and school related activities. And for 2 years of child rearing of my own child, I made use of various forms of technology, and hands-on activities to ensure creative learning that is necessary to optimize my child’s life activities in which she was engaging, including ADL, IADL, rest and sleep, education, work, play, leisure, and social participation. These strategies stimulated physical, emotional, social and academic development.
