About Us…. First Milestones Academy is a continuation of my journey and passion for children care and development in early stages. I am a mother of two young and talented ladies and a talented Pre-school teacher assistant. I have been involved in children education and early development for kids over 20 years. Formerly I taught 25 two year old precious kids and have done so for the past three years. I realized that I wasn't able to provide them with the one on one attention I felt they needed at such a crucial developmental state so I decided to turn this passion into a home day care and get State License. Here I keep a very small student: teacher ratio so that I am able to provide care and attention as well as being able to really teach the children age appropriate material. I offer a self designed curriculum which includes a weekly letter, number, color and shape. My focus is on teaching through play and helping the children learn to communicate and express their feelings. Finding the right day care and safe environment is an important decision and stressful decision parents have to make. I am a parent and understand the challenges and pressure that working parent’s face. I work hard to ensure and help parents build confidence that their kids are taken care of in a safe, respected and nurtured environment.
