My name is Karen Woodward , and I am a young 50 year old Bethany resident , with over 30 years of experience in the Early Childhood Education / Childcare field. For over 20 years, I was Owner, Director, as well as Head Teacher of a child care center, licensed for 32 children , ages 6 weeks to 5 years. In 2009, I made the decision to sell my center. From Aug 2010 to Sept 2014, I was employed as Head Toddler/Preschool teacher at a licensed child care center in Woodbridge. In addition to teaching, I was also employed as an after school nanny for a family in Woodbridge , with two daughters ages 3 and 5. Unfortunately , due to a drop in enrollment, the center opted to cut the program . For the past year, I have been employed by a wonderful family in New Haven, with adorable twin infant girls( currently they are 22 months old). I love my job , and am very sad to say that their father just accepted a new job in Colorado , and they will be moving the end of May 2016. I am reliable, patient , flexible, first aide trained, and have several references.
